About

"Life is what you make it. Always has been, always will be."
Eleanor Roosevelt

If you're neurodiverse, like me,  you might have experienced frustration or overwhelm in your career.

As a neurodiverse business and career coach, writer, speaker, and mum, I've guided hundreds of people in a career flux to create a fulfilling and engaging career in employment or in  business.

After struggling for years to feel comfortable in my own skin, I finally worked out how to do something about it. What started as a journey to conquer my insecurities has turned into a system to empower women to confidently take charge of their lives, careers, and financial security.

It's time to break free of others' opinions of who you should be and confidently design the career you were born to live.

My Passion

I’ve achieved a lot and been plagued with doubts beyond the average. Part of this was realising that I'm a neurodiverse person. This began a journey of discovery. Once I began to understand that I wasn't lazy or incompetent but that my brain works differently, I started bringing all my experiences and strengths together to overcome the challenges differently.

I've been looking at how we're taught to apply for jobs, write resumes, and overcome workplace and business challenges. What's out there just didn't work.

For me, a career is about strengths, values and lifestyle needs rather than duties, fitting in and linear progression. As I learned about my neurodiversity and how it shows up in my life, I understood why I'd taught this. As I got to know my clients, I realized that many of them were also grappling with similar challenges. We connected on a totally different level for a reason.

I aim to empower women to embrace their uniqueness, discover effective strategies, and unlock their full potential. Together, we can rewrite the narrative and create a path towards not just surviving, but truly thriving.

My Career Story

After 20+ years of owning a business and employing dozens of staff, I was contemplating a new career. With my background I thought it would be easy to find a job.

Making big changes in life is scary and this was no different. At times it seemed overwhelming, even impossible. I realised I didn't know enough about the other side of job search.

So I enrolled in a resume/job search course, doing everything as shown. The trainer couldn’t fault my resume or my tactics. Yet I sent out hundreds of resumes with little response. I couldn’t understand why. Even though I'd run a business for many years, I felt unemployable. I was either overqualified or not experienced enough.

I realized I needed to change my strategies to ones that focused on my strengths and needs, not just my job history. Using these strategies I've applied for fewer jobs and gained the ones I wanted.  I've built a new career in business and career coaching and left my humdrum life behind.

Though it may seem impossible, you can overcome your career fears, gain clarity and live your life with confidence.
